i had the pleasure of experiencing my first chinese new year celebration thanks to ashley! there just wasn't enough time to celebrate on thursday so we waited until the next day to start the festivities. friday night she cooked a lot of amazing food. there was soo much food and everything was really good! i think im gonna stop cooking on the weekends and just have her cook from now on. =]
broccoli, red peppers, green peppers, carrots, ginger, garlic, onions, snow peas, tofu, egg drop soup, and the list goes on...of course we had to throw in the red velvet cupcakes. not chinese you say? they're red so they fit the occasion and you should never pass up the opportunity to have cupcakes and ice cream.
remember i said i didn't have to cook this weekend? that was thanks to these two! they were the ones who slaved away in the kitchen all afternoon long while i played wii. =]
of course matthew couldn't wait until the food was finished to start eating...he had to have a snack...but this has become a normal occurrence, it would be weird if i posted a photo of matthew NOT eating.
ashleys making sure i eat/drink my egg drop soup. doesn't it look like shes gonna do something mean to me if i say i don't like it?
the food is ready!! and its time to dig in!! just make sure matthews at the end of the line or else there won't be any food left for the rest of us...
next time andrew try to make it BEFORE we take the group picture...
good food and good company what more could you ask for? maybe we should celebrate chinese new year once a month...

Yeah! We should celebrate new CHINESE year every month! Tawn-tawn, I had some more black raspberry chocolate ice cream. It's tasty. Frozen solid.
Haha, looked like fun. Not my kind of fun... what with all the Asian food... but fun none the less
haha! Great post, but I won't do anything mean if you don't like my soup :p
p.s. it'll be a long time before i'm back in the kitchen.
