i think i've almost had one-a-day since last monday. no joke.

it's become a regular occurrence for irv and i to go see the lakers and bulls play once a year - whether we're in la or chicago.

unlike last year, we didn't really have time to stop anywhere to eat before the game. so i ended up with a veggie burger from inside staples. i was pleasantly surprised at what i found..."eating is not a spectator sport, dig in!"

last night, kobe surpassed kareem to become the second highest scoring laker of all time :)



lakers won! i was happy. but irv? not so much. but then after our stop at la live and as we were leaving he spotted taj gibson and was able to meet him, so i think that kinda made up for the loss :)

pondahan.

i'm not a big fan of filipino restaurants (pondahan). maybe its because everything has meat in it and i can't really ever eat that much? or maybe its because i'd rather have it home cooked?

but, i don't mind going once in awhile - especially if its with these two. plus the calamansi juice and desserts always make it more than worth it.

turron and, my favorite, macapuno ice cream...

needless to say the rest of the day was spent at bakeries and markets (re)stocking up on asian snack foods (that i know are terrible for me, but just taste too good :)

saturday afternoon was one filled with all things korea..with michelle as our tour guide.

all you can eat korean bbq at cham soot gol.






then we were off to cafe-t for dessert.

and finally, just to confirm that we were stuffed, we made one last stop for more dessert.

when she wants you to eat something, you eat it - no matter how full you are.


:) mMm..i'm happy, satisfied and full just thinking about this weekend..

tonight we..carved our pumpkin, went trick or treating and then ran home to eat our candy!

we took this little girl to ballet class yesterday.

the other day irv and i took ella to the sears tower (willis tower?). we went to the sky deck all the way up on the 103rd floor.



we recently bought ella a camera..and its actually a pretty amazing little pink camera. check out the little photog in the making...

they recently put in glass observatory ledges up in the sky deck. ella wasn't scared one bit, she walked out on the glass like it wasn't any different from the carpeted floor. irv on the other hand? it took him awhile and a lot of coaching, but he made it out for a few brief moments.

i want a room like this in my house! if my house was up on the 103rd floor that is. i love it!




afterwards we, of course, ended the day with some boba from joy yee's. i know, i know, we just had it, but its soo good! its hard to stay away :)
