things i learned: i liked the tofu banh mi from the nom nom truck waaay more than i thought i would! i am in love with lake street creamery ice cream!! and i really need to go food truck hunting more often.

a mid-week, evening concert in a thrift store. music in my ears.

{portland} wknd edition.

the last three days consisted of:

a quick flight to portland,

a long drive to hermiston - for a wedding,

another long drive back to portland,

quick stops in happy valley & vancouver

and finally, a flight back home.

somewhere during all of that i was able to make a stop for one meal in portland,

which happened to be breakfast at byways cafe.

my weekend felt like such a whirlwind!

it was chock full of inspiring things, which made it hard to soak them all in.

this taste of portland left me hungry for more.

my ever growing to do list of eats is in desperate need of some checks.

{disney} wknd edition.

yesterday i had nothing but a lazy sunday planned.

then irv unexpectedly got called off work.

right around dinner time we found ourselves in the car

with the happiest place on earth as our destination. 

i love spontaneous disney trips. 

especially the kind that lead to us being in the park till closing.

can't believe it's already friday again.

i woke up this morning feeling bummed..

so i went right to work,

editing images from this amazing couple's wedding.

i must say, it made me feel better!

eri & pablo are such beautiful people inside and out!

their happiness and love for one another is contagious.

happy friday!

it seems as if i was just there, but i found myself in las vegas once again last week. this time i wasn't working, so i was able to dine at some fave spots as well as discover some new ones...

of course, a stop for some frrrozen hot chocolate at serendipity3 was a must.

remember my first encounter with the slider truck? well this time i FINALLY got to try slidin' thru! ric & all the guys of slidn' thru are amazing. i loved searching for the truck's location, it felt like a treasure hunt :)

go here and vote for them to be a part of the next great food truck race! they're currently 5th, but a spot in the top 3 would be better. and hurry! voting ends this week.

eggplant caprese - grilled eggplant. roma tomato. basil. fresh mozzarella. balsamic reduction = the best.

then a mandatory stop at retro for some cupcake deliciousness.

another treasure hunt lead to a new discovery, philly's famous italian ices truck! the mango was my fave.

the fortune cookies at fin were homemade and the best i've ever had.

nothing like a campfire marshmallow shake from blt burger at 2 o'clock in the morning.

and my favorite new discovery...max brenner! a friend told me to go here and it did not disappoint. we only went for dessert, so i still have so many things to try..

the euphoria peanut butter chocolate fudge sundae. deep chocolate peanut butter ice cream, dulce de leche ice cream, caramelized toffee bananas, pure chocolate chunks, milk chocolate sauce & warm peanut butter sauce. garnished with whipped cream & crunchy hazelnut bits = divine.

yes, it's true. while some may go to vegas to party & gamble, i go to eat.

i don't know if its right or wrong, it's just what it is.

now i can't wait for my next trip back :)
