i'm going through some old film and i found this (i desperately need access to a better scanner).
i just recently watched the india episode of 1,000 places to see before you die on the travel channel and i've come to realize that...i really want to go back to india! i also miss all the photo and design kids soo much.
i'm itching to travel internationally, its been too long. anyone else feel the same?

on wednesday cambria came over and i though it would be fun if she met mello's niece, kaela. so that evening, mello and kaela came over and all of us went out for some frozen yogurt!
needless to say they were instantly best buds. they were talking nonstop, making up stories together, singing, dancing and just having fun. i have a feeling an amazing summer is on it's way!

i got my camera fixed today! turns out not much was wrong with it. the screws on the lens had come loose and were preventing me from removing it from the camera body. easy fix! and it didn't cost a thing!
i developed 5 rolls of film today. 2 of those rolls were from my trip to india - from 3 yrs ago! i recently found them. the other 3 rolls are from my supersampler - taken over a yr ago! i'm amazed. i love finding old rolls of undeveloped film.
i can't wait to scan them. anyone have an amazing scanner i could use? or know of where i can get film scanned?
i also went to mitsuwa with mello today. it's amazing there. i mean anywhere that sells seaweed flakes shaped like hello kitty's head is going to be amazing.

mike.
i hung out with mike today and we ate cucas for dinner :)
something is wrong with my camera. it sounds crazy, but the lens won't come off...i'm afraid its going to cost an arm and a leg to get it fixed. its a terrible, terrible feeling to have a broken camera.

meet ini, mini, miny, moe and joe.
they are newly transplanted to keep away the bunnies, gophers, snails and anyone else that was feeling the urge to snack.
did you know snails were devouring my basil? i never knew they could be so vicious. irv swears he heard one hiss at him while we were removing them from the garden...i don't know about that though. i've never heard of snails hissing before.
the extra space in the garden makes me happy. looks like i get to plant some more! :)

iCream.
the last time i was in chicago (way back in october) i noticed a new ice cream place being built. it didn't really seem all that special and at the time, i didn't really think too much of it. then last month j.cupcakes visited this place while he was in chicago and wrote about it on his blog, you can read about j.cupcakes experience here if you'd like. once i read his post i knew i had to go...
this one-of-a-kind ice cream place is called iCream.
what makes iCream so unique is the fact that they make whatever you order from scratch right in front of you. yes, thats right, they use liquid nitrogen and and blend the ingredients together to create your ice cream/yogurt/sorbet right on the spot! amazing, i know.
i made hazelnut ice cream with nutella and it was delicious. irene got mango sorbet that was just as wonderful.
(they even use biodegradable/compostable containers :)

hands down, my favorite breakfast place would have to be egg harbor. i always miss it when i'm not in the midwest. the strawberry orange juice is my favorite.
