oinkster.

doesn't exactly sound like the name of a restaurant where i'd find a lot to eat and in reality i guess there are only a few items on the menu i would eat, but oinkster is a place i'd like to experience again.

i didn't know until we got there, but apparently guy fieri - from the food network - just recently paid oinkster a visit and left his mark on one of the doors. so i'm guessing you should be on the look out for this place on an upcoming episode of diners drive-ins and dives.

oinkster boasts that its a place for "slow fast food". the homemade thousand island dressing on my veggie burger was pretty good. actually all of their sauces were really good, my favorite was definitely the roasted garlic aioli - one can never have too much garlic! :) oh and the fries were some of the best i've ever had.




you'd never guess, but that shake on the right is an ube shake! unexpected right? let me tell you, it was amazing. i'll probably be dreaming about it tonight. :)

have you ever ridden mickey's fun wheel at california adventures? it's pretty crazy. i didn't mind it, but andreea on the other hand?...

i don't think irv or andreea will be getting back on that ride anytime soon...contrary to irv's smile, he was almost as terrified as andreea.

a three hour wait for something that lasted a matter of minutes has never been so worth it before! its amazing being surrounded by that many laker fans :)

i got a hard core chicago bulls fan to come with me to the parade and yes he even wore a laker jersey. can you believe it?

as much as i'd like the lakers to win it at home i just can't bring myself to hope they lose on sunday. laker parade this year? yes, i think so.

it's been awhile since the last time i posted the progress. you can see what they looked like almost 3 weeks ago here.

i've been getting a lot of guesses for sugar peas and sweet snap peas...but nope, they are not a type of pea. anyone have any new ideas?

two and oh.

tonight's game was quite the nail biter in the end. the fourth quarter was nowhere close to being boring.

lakers took game one and i'm all smiles. i love being up 1-0, let's just hope that game two isn't as boring - blowouts in the finals are not as exciting. but i'll take a blowout win over a loss any day.

these little guys kept interrupting a photoshoot i was at last night. i've never liked skunks, but these two were just little babies. they were actually really cute.

once i was close enough to them to take this photo chet tells me that he's heard that skunks can spray 6-8 ft. now if i had known that...
