tomorrow has finally come and the photos are up!

so the long awaited gallery photos are here! so here it goes...

of course, food is the best way to start off anything...irv's mom made the most amazing food. my friends helped me wrap won tons. in the end we ended up wrapping a grand total of 300 won tons. and guess what? all 300 were gone before the end of the night! =]

so this was my artist's statement. and this was how the photos were mounted. i bought boards at home depot and had them cut at the wood-shop in the art department. then with irv's help i painted them black with chalkboard paint. then irv helped me drill holes in each corner. i mounted each image on foam core then use 1/2 inch pieces of foam core to mount the photos onto the boards.

yeah i used my hands to explain everything a lot that night.


they were hungry [as always].


i had some chalkboards for people to sign. ella loved them. and apparently so did everyone else.









oh and i also printed minicards from moo.com. they had images from my show on one side and on the back was my name and my website.


i love all these people.

news flash!

ok so i know, i still haven't posted any photos from my closing reception. but i promise its not because i've been sitting around doing nothing! they will be up soon. i promise.

i did post all the images from the exhibition though! i know thats really good news for all of you who couldn't make it [or just plain forgot to go. its ok. i guess i understand]. instead of posting all those images here, i just started a photo blog. its still in the works, so don't judge it too harshly just yet. hopefully i'll make that one look nicer soon, but by the looks of what i've done with this blog don't hold your breath. [just use an rss reader. then it'll all look the same.]

complete and utter joy.

my senior gallery is done. its over. the pictures were hung, the food was cooked, the people came and saw, the food was eaten, the photos enjoyed and now it is all over.

i can't explain how i feel right now. i am soo happy yet a little sad. i mean come on, my senior gallery, its over. the one thing that has completely consumed my life for the past 2 weeks [not to mention entire school year] is over.

the entire thing was a huge success. THANK YOU to everyone that came and supported me! I LOVE EVERY SINGLE ONE OF YOU!!
i have so many people that i have to thank, because without your hard work there is no way i could have gotten everything done.

right now i am utterly exhausted, so i promise there will be another post with thank yous and photos. for now i think i am going to pass out in my bed. i need to get up in 3 hours to take my parents to the airport.

they're here!

my parents just arrived this evening. its weird because its their first time to andrews ever. they came to see my gallery and i'm so glad they're here. =]

its been a long, stressful week. so i decided to buy myself something nice.

it came in the mail yesterday. =]

satisfaction...almost.

all my images for my gallery are hung! its an amazing feeling that i cannot describe. everything is not completely done, but at least the hardest part is done. i can actually get some sleep tonight. =]

come on sunday! 7pm.

you won't be disappointed. i promise.

i haven't posted about food in awhile...
today after church we definitely went to three different places to get food.
our first stop, Sophia's.

there was a huge, huge group of us. i think once everyone showed up there were 22 of us at two tables. these are the people that sat at my table.




this was the other table of people [asian overload i know].

i split a hobo skillet with mello.

ammiel made some ketchup art. for some weird reason she thinks my name should be tawnya lipoon. sorrie ammie, but no. i don't want to be named tawnya. lipoon? no thanks.

our 2nd stop, Chocolate Cafe. its true, we love going there. its because the chocolate lasalle is soo good!

while we were there we played checkers and connect four. matthew is very proud of the connect four photos.


and our last stop? Kilwin's to pick up some caramel apples. matthew was in a food coma by this time. he didn't even wait until he got into the car to pass out...

mission accomplished.

that was a long post. finished just in time for dinner...im off to eat again.

i can sleep when i graduate!

i've been soo busy lately that i feel like i can't breathe. i just wish that i didn't have to sleep. if i really could go without sleep until after graduation i would.

i found that blogging has become a stress reliever for me. and then i was thinking...isn't it weird how sharing details of my life with the online world could be relaxing? you would think that it should be the opposite way...then again don't take anything i say too seriously, i've been going a little crazy all week =]

i would like you to meet my friend, Matthew Park. when you first meet him, he'll be shy, but just give it time. once he feels comfortable, watch out.

he can be a little crazy a times, but thats just because hes one of those creative geniuses. if you see him on campus say hi to him, hes a good guy - i promise.
