last fattie night in the midwest.

so its our last night in the midwest. and what did i decide to do? eat good food with good company!

after church and an extremely short nap mello, irv and i met up with matthew, pat, nunz and ellen. we met at joy yee's to get drinks, even though we just went there on wednesday boba sounded really good.








after boba we did a little mother's day shopping. but i guess it was more like matthew did a little mother's day shopping while the rest of us tagged along. and after shopping we were all hungry. so we went to baisi thai.






i'm super full and super happy. i don't know if i'm ready to go home just yet...
mello and i start our roadtrip to california tomorrow. we're taking our time and making some stops so we probably won't get home till wednesday sometime?
our first stop is irv's auntie's house. so that means that...irv is coming with us for our first day of our trip!! maybe i can talk him into just driving all the way to california. =]

happy birthday not birday.

so ashley leaves and now....edsel is here! and...its his birthday! and its ado's birthday. happy birthday!
we went to cheesecake to celebrate. ado came late cuz he was eating with his family, so i didn't get a photo of him. but we did take a group photo.


ed, don't go to florida tomorrow. just stay. we'll eat some more. a lot more.

egg harbor.

ashley is gone! =[ we dropped her off at the airport this morning. but of course we had to get one last really good meal in before she left.
so we had breakfast at egg harbor. best breakfast place ever. mello and ashley shared the pumpkin pecan pancake combo, irv got the cinnamon roll french toast combo, and i got a skillet with eggs, potatoes, cheese, tomatoes, and spinach. plus we got a carafe of freshly squeezed strawberry orange juice [my favorite].







everything was soo good. im gonna miss this place when i'm back at home. ashley you promised to visit. so i'll see you in california this summer?

ashley's last day.

school is out! and now i'm in chicago once again. ashley is leaving for texas tomorrow so we decided to spend one last day in the city. and what did we do? eat of course! our first stop was aokay official for some toys and then sluggers world class sports bar [there used to be a photo booth there, but sadly they got rid of it]. then since we were so close to wrigley we stopped by.




by this time we were starving so we went to pequod's. according to ashley, "this is the best pizza i have ever eaten in my entire life!





after pequod's it was only natural that it was time for dessert. so we walked down the street to this bakery called sweet mandy b's. when we walked in i wanted to try everything!


irv and mello both got banana chocolate chip cupcakes, ashley got a confetti cookie and a banana chocolate cupcake for later, and i got a huge lemon bar. each thing was amazing.



irv decided he wanted to eat his cupcake upside down...


after we were super full we went to rotofugi to get more toys and stopped by quimby's to take some photo booth pictures. it started pouring rain right before we got to quimby's. we were soaked. after all that running in the rain, it was time to go get something to drink. haha. so we went to joy yee's in naperville and met up with fred there. i got a mango peach freeze with boba. but i think i drank more of irv's watermelon than my own. =]




oh yeah...i chopped off all my hair. i think i miss it.

another amazing day in chicago. great food and great company. ashley, please don't leave!! there are still so many restaurants we need to go to! you also need to say bye to matthew [we missed you today park].

graduation weekend is here! my family is here! jay is here! i thought this weekend would never come...

this evening irv and i ate dinner at lula's before picking up my family from the airport.

everything was delicious. tomorrow marks the beginning of the end. i think i'm ready?

so i get up and pour myself a bowl of cereal. then i come to find that we don't have any milk. and then i find a starbucks mocha frappuccino. and i though, why not? very interesting...

well im off to harrigan to finish my portfolio. crazy to think that i'm still working on it...i never thought so many things could go wrong when making just one book.

31 cent ice cream.

today has been a long day. the highlight of my day? baskin robbins having 31 cent ice cream!!

 





i got strawberry and rocky road. but after i stared eating them i decided i wanted the mint n chip and the tax crunch that irv got...so we switched!

and look! i'm even sharing my ice cream! i really must be sleepy...
