Saturday, February 23, 2008

oh what a night...
these five danced at notre dame. if you missed it...thats a shame. but no worries...im sure there will be videos posted on youtube, facebook, and myspace within the hour. =]

afterwards i was starving [of course] so ammi took me and mello to lula's. and even though he wasn't there, dinner was courtesy of edsel. thanks ed, im soo full now...

sorrie mello...if you hide i can't get any good photos of you. but seeing as there were six pictures of you in my last post im not surprised you were hiding from the camera.

my stomach hurts from laughing so much.
by far the best thing of the night...two words spoken by ammiel, "shmoner and correction." those were the two words that did it, i was dying. oh ammiel. what am i going to do with you?

i can't even explain the next 6 photos. i think instead of describing them ill just leave them up for interpretation. what do you think is going on here?

i was thinking...maybe i should get some sweet glasses too so i can be a part of the cool kids club.

p.s.
happy birthday karen! =]

plastic bags

Wednesday, February 20, 2008

someone showed this to me yesterday...its pretty ridiculous.

this shows 60,000 plastic bags = the number used in the US every 5 seconds!
its 60 x 72"

partial zoom

detail at actual size

isn't it a little scary? maybe we should stop using plastic bags...or at least make them out of something thats actually biodegradable.

museum of modern ice, ice skating in millennium park, shawnimals and gloomy bear at rotofugi, photobooth pictures at quimby's, and finally deep dish pizza at pequod's. today was the most fun i've had in a long time. =]

there is an exhibit up at millennium park...some guy painted on ice. it looks pretty cool.
then irv and i went ice skating....but actually i was the one who went ice skating, irv was ice slipping. it was definitely a sight to see.

after all that ice skating we were starving...so we went to pequod's. irv claims that its the best deep dish pizza ever.

i guess he was right. it was pretty good. now i am extra full, happy, and oh so sleepy. =]

i want.

this is what i'm craving right now. "Pinkberry's new coffee frozen yogurt topped with strawberries, chocolate chips and coconut. It's swirly heaven: coffee to make the most of the night, strawberries and coconut to fight the sugar temptation, and chocolate chips to give in a little."

im korean. thanks to matthew.

yet another adventure with edsel.

Saturday, February 09, 2008

words just don't seem to exist to explain this video.
im a little embarrassed...ed, when i suggested this song to you i didn't think you were actually gonna do it and i was semi joking when i told you to dedicate it to pat, but then you went and dedicated it to him. i guess i better watch what i say around you from now on..it made for a good laugh. haha.

"happy NEW chinese year!"

i had the pleasure of experiencing my first chinese new year celebration thanks to ashley! there just wasn't enough time to celebrate on thursday so we waited until the next day to start the festivities. friday night she cooked a lot of amazing food. there was soo much food and everything was really good! i think im gonna stop cooking on the weekends and just have her cook from now on. =]

broccoli, red peppers, green peppers, carrots, ginger, garlic, onions, snow peas, tofu, egg drop soup, and the list goes on...of course we had to throw in the red velvet cupcakes. not chinese you say? they're red so they fit the occasion and you should never pass up the opportunity to have cupcakes and ice cream.
remember i said i didn't have to cook this weekend? that was thanks to these two! they were the ones who slaved away in the kitchen all afternoon long while i played wii. =]
of course matthew couldn't wait until the food was finished to start eating...he had to have a snack...but this has become a normal occurrence, it would be weird if i posted a photo of matthew NOT eating.
ashleys making sure i eat/drink my egg drop soup. doesn't it look like shes gonna do something mean to me if i say i don't like it?
the food is ready!! and its time to dig in!! just make sure matthews at the end of the line or else there won't be any food left for the rest of us...

next time andrew try to make it BEFORE we take the group picture...
good food and good company what more could you ask for? maybe we should celebrate chinese new year once a month...

adventures with edsel and friends

Monday, February 04, 2008

so this weekend was eventful...more eventful than intended...the plan was to go to indianapolis, eat at the old spaghetti factory, then go to conseco fieldhouse to watch the pacers magic game.

one flat tire and one dead battery later we made it to the game halfway into the 2nd quarter. definitely the quietest and emptiest stadium i've ever been to..either way it was fun to pretend to be a pacer fan for a couple of hours. =]
its weird how when you're stuck on the side of the freeway you all of a sudden get really hungry...we finished a can of pringles like it was our last meal.
i taught matthew how to be a basketball fan. this is us pretending to be pacer fans. we're booing! =]
raspberry italian sodas...the perfect ending to a "perfect" night.
